Resources / Non-Ionizing Radiation Program Summary Sheet

NON-IONIZING RADITION SAFETY (non-clinical)

This program area involves ensuring protection against non-ionizing radiation, such as microwave and laser radiation. This is accomplished by the provision of direction, oversight and coordination of all activities associated with the use of sources of non-ionizing radiation.

Regulations governing Non-Ionizing Radiation at the University of Utah:

1. 29 CFR 1910.132 Personal Protective Equipment: General Requirements
2. 29 CFR 1910.133 Personal Protective Equipment: Eye and Face Protection
